Work with local poets and performers in Del Paso eights to curate a showcase and slam poetry contest. Our intended audience will be young students and community members. Students will have the opportunity to experience and learn from spoken word poetry professionals. Mentors will work with students, provide workshops and support students producing and performing their own showcase by the end of the grant period.
